Great stuff Dave, and consistent 120mph is pretty darn good i'd say.

Update - Things are going ok on the east coast. Got my decals in April thanks to Harry (he even used a Shelby postage stamp on the envelope! - check it out! - You're the coolest Harry). I still have my other projects to finish and this car has just under 600 miles on it now. It's the lowest street Shelby anywhere (modified cut coils on rollerized perches front, modified rear leafs with 1" lowering blocks and Cal-Tracs on rear using Koni's all around) and it's a later June '67 build in L.A. Only one like it sporting the blacktop certified label haha.

Glad you noticed the stamp, Dave.

My mom gave me a book of those muscle car stamps and I saved the Shelby one assuming that you'd buy some decals.

Not that I've been cruising any boulevards with this thing....... I have been getting in some more track time. In May I went to Road America at Elkhart Lake, WI to attend the Shelby American Automobile Club 39th Annual National Event. This is one fantastic, long 4+ mile road course. Ran the car with both street tires (on the Mag Stars) and Goodyear Blue Streak race tires (on Torque Thrusts) and managed to hold off the new Shelby's with all their computerized suspension and handling systems. I could pull away from them in the straights but they were on me in the turns on street BFG T/A tires. The new beasts out powered my normally aspirated and modified 426 HP but for a 47 year old car I am quite satisfied with its performance. Anyway, beyond having already been to Watkins Glen two years ago this was a real good time. The car also took third place in popular vote for the 1967 GT350 class at this national event. Got a nice lucite trophy and LOW is GOOD!
