If I don't change my diet soon I might be in line for a general grabber at some point.

DC-3 Tires were 15's. My dad had them on a war surplus jeep.

Just scored a pair of Goodyear 155-80-13s off ebay

They are new, still got the stickers on 'em tires. But they are also around 40 years old. Should I run 'em or hang 'em on the wall for decoration?

If they are not dry rotted, I'd say run them AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Running a set of 40 year old tires (with tubes) on my caddy... and a pair of 35 year old tires on the Swinger.
Would I use them on a daily? No way.

Wow those sure are kool. The white line is super narrow but there seem to be something else diffrent, or not?

Never seen these before, not as cool as the old Indy Profile whitewalls and redlines, but interesting nonetheless.

While everybody was going nuts over the super bowl, I was out picking. Came up on this set of 4 Firestone Champion Deluxe Dual Redline 6.95/14's.

    BUMP.

Currently researching the next set for the caddy. Been looking at Diamond Backs mostly. Edog suggested Hursts and i'm suddenly struck by them. They are beautiful. Though I can see how they would date the car very early, as Harry has suggested in previous posts. Perhaps too early given my aim at at 64-65. They'd also me just touch too small (visually) for the caddy.

That date range puts me at a 1" ww in a stock tire. clean, but not super adventurous.
Larry did the 1" pretty solid here. Caddy wires with no cap, hub color matched and a spider cap on what would have been the correct tire for caddy's at the time. big thumbs up.
