An attempt at a 1967-looking setup that follows the concept of a custom wheel on a stockish size tire.

^^^ Very influenced by this sort of look, I especially dig the way the stripe is in the center of the tire unlike the way its usually closer to the rim.
Everything about that combo is killer...... have you, or are you gonna use it on the Pontiac?

That's the plan, but I only have one mounted up at the moment. Need to do a test fit before doing the rest.

Been sick lately so I haven't made it back to the garage.

Hope we get to see even just the test fit! I think there should be a thread dedicated to all the shoes that Lupe has worn...... really.

    Hope you're feelin' better.

I wish I had a car that would fit 900's.

After purchasing those pretty Amoco F70's from Rasputin, I did some investigating. Searched through newspaper circulars (the internet is amazing) looking for an advertisement of the tires so that an accurate date could be defined. Closest I've found is this ad from 1972. The size is different, but model "CXV", whitewall thickness and placement is right on as is the tread/sidewall pattern.

Came across this when researching the Amoco tires.
What other brands offered or do offer different white walls on either side?

Me and my kid play, "spot the whitewalls" when we're driving around and we seldom see them on anything anymore.

F'n wow. I love where the stripe falls on these. Also like the ones where the stripe is even further out toward the edge of the tire.

I've heard of some white walls that have the same stripe on both sides but I've never seen different stripes on opposite sides.

I guess it makes sense for a gas station brand to have a different stripe on either side. It would allow them to offer different styles yet have to keep less tires in stock.

At one point, the PPE was running these on the front, though I have no idea what they are:
